The car has been down for about 8 months now. They didn't look to bad, mostly road wear. You can let stuff sit out around here forever and it not be bad. Warm weather and lots of humidity.

Had the tires taken off on Friday. Apart at my buddy's house and removing the sealant, cleaning them up, and then putting them back together:

It appeared that the leaks were coming from the barrel side. I didn't really clean them when I got them from Rotiform and the silicone peeled right off of the barrels, which it should not do. It was obvious there was very little adhesion between the silicone and barrel. So we roughed them up pretty good before going back together.

May have gone a little overboard, damn near filled in the whole gap between the lip and barrel, but don't really feel like taking any chances.

The silicone is the gasket. That's how they come factory too.

Have you ever tries the silicone heat shrink rim strips that they make for motorcycle spoked wheels?

No, I haven't, and I haven't seen anyone else try that. I feel like if it was a popular method there would be some info on it. But I've never seen that.

Copy that.... We just started seeing it in the distributors books, I just ordered a 15", 16" and 21" rolls...

once we see how it works ill let you know if you want some ill send you out a roll..

BTW the car is looking real good... the wheels look sick..
