A little bit off topic, and I apologize. Update on my mother.
Talked to Mike, the owner of the funeral home, this morning. He called me about 11:30 this morning instead of me going in to talk to him. He wanted to apologize for not being able to be there and for the mixup on burying her with the items I wanted. I told him about the way the guy treated me on thye phone and told him i would be by for the death certificates in a few minutes, since i was already out that way.
By the time i got there, around noon, he had fired the guy who was rude to me on the phone, and told me that he would be more than happy to exhume her and get the things at his expense, AND he would knock a substantial amount off the bill. He said the exhumation might take a while, but he would call me when he had the ring and watch back in his possession.
About 3 this afternoon, my phone rings, and it's Mike. He had the watch and ring and said I could come by and get them whenever it was convenient for me.
Amazing customer service, and an awesome way to turn a bad experience into a good one.
