Loosing coolant... But to where?
Haha... well good thing i ened up with the Nissens... My quick fix ended up failing, so now im lookig for a new fix for this.... perhaps some teflon tape where the seal used to be? any thoughts.....
Teflon tape did not work... thsi beginning to get annoying. I ended up going to Home Depot Racing and getting a selection of grommets and O rings to try and seal up this line.... so far so good.. only time will tell....
This is the second time ive gotten an ill fitting part from FCP... i dont wanna trash, but whats the story.. first they sent me a dipstick that had the wrong VOLVO sticker on it ( the dipstick part # didnt match the Volvo part # on the sticker that was affixed to the dipstick) Now its shady leaking oild seals on my brand new oil lines! and its a brand new Nissens radiator... the only thing i could concieve is that the nissens is no a perfect fit or the new seals were not perfect. Weird

Hi, wasn't sure if I should post here or in a new thread, but anyway...
I noticed a couple of days ago my coolant light was coming on each time I accelerated, so I checked the reservoir and it was empty. I thought I'd only filled it a couple of weeks back but then decided I mustn't have. After only 2 days (50kms) my light was back on, I couldn't see any leaks anywhere so I filled it up again yesterday morning and tried again. It was too dark to see when I got home last night but this morning I noticed drip/spray marks behind the radiator, so I ran the car for a while and noticed coolant coming out. I'm a total novice when it comes to anything mechanical so I don't even know what to call the area that's leaking. I looked in the Haynes manual but with no joy, so I've attached a couple of pics.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Craig.

Awesome, not exactly the response I was hoping for but I appreciate the swift reply mate, much appreciated.
Anyone know a good place to get one within Australia, preferably South East Queensland?
Edit: There seems to be 2 different ones available (on Ebay Australia) - the twin and the single oil cooler - how do I know which one I have? And is there anything else I should think about getting while I'm replacing the radiator?
Thanks.

I wouldn't!! Just keep filling it up until you can get a new rad. I wonder if FCP Groton ships overseas? I would ck them first..
Thanks gdog, yeah the idea didn't seem like a favourable one to be honest, but thought I'd check.
I already checked with FCP Groton and IPD, both ship overseas but the cost to Australia is way too much, the shipping is more than the actual part.
Nevermind.
Thanks again for the help.

check heater hoses for holes, feel passenger side floor for wetness(heater core), and replace resevoir cap if you have never replaced it(they're cheap and should be done.) if you do find it's a heater core and cannot afford to do right now you can try bars leak head gasket repair(follow directions to a tee) or I know they have some new heater core stuff that mixes with coolant...this will give you a cheap band aid or possibly a long term fix if the leak is small enough.
Cheers.
I figured the safest option was to take it to my mechanics so they could have a look, they reckon I'm looking in excess of AU$800 for the radiator and labour. Can't wait to tell the girlfriend, she'll be chuffed to bits.

Your radiator should handle the oil and the transmission, so there should be six hoses running off the radiator. Check the two from eBay and make sure they're specific to the Volvo - I'd hate to hear you got a unit that 'only' cooled the water!
