Lower motor mount advice
I'm replacing that lower motor mount behind the passenger-side wheel on my 1996 850 NA wagon with 168K miles. Not too soon, apparently, since the mount has collapsed to the point where it's not possible to get a socket in there to turn the 17 mm lower bolts. I measured the mount that's in there from top to bottom. It seems to be about 3 inches tall. The replacement is about 3.5 inches.
So my strategy is to remove the top bolts from the mount to the engine, then jack the engine a half or three-quarters of an inch so I can get a wrench in there. Seems obvious enough, but is there something I'm overlooking? Thanks.

You got it man. You may have to jack a little higher than that. Make sure you use a wide flat surface to jack the motor up. I usually jack up the oil pan with a 2" x 6" x 1'. Just did it yesterday.
changing my lower motor mount made the engine much more responsive. noo more movement nor vibrations.l used to get some sort of vibrations on accelations but now stopped.am looking into changing my front mount and upper motor mount too.
