Default MAF or IAC?

So I have this problem with my 96' 850 Turbo I'm hoping someone can help with. My car does fine driving and accelerating until it warms up and I get into stop and go traffic. It'll start with the rpms start to drop almost to the stalling stage(which sometimes does) almost like it's loading up? It'll start to stutter and puffing black smoke out of the exhaust. Tonight it got so bad that I couldn't accelerate hardly at all and tried stalling at every stop light(which really sucks in rush hour traffic). Usually It'll come out of it after I get it opened up on the open road a couple times. I've cleaned the IAC and MAF last weekend in hopes that it would fix the problem but evidently wasn't. Could one of these still be bad or do I need to start looking at something else?

OK. So I feel defeated with this problem. I bought a new MAF yesterday and I'm still having the problem? I just don't get it! I've done everything I know to do and I can't figure out the problem? Someone with more knowledge with these cars Please Help!!

Have you followed the evap system hoses to see if one has come loose or is damaged and leaking ? The canister is located behind the bumper in the drivers front corner.

IF ,,, if you have both a vacuum leak and a bad O2 sensor it could be your problem with it wanting to die at idle.

You might want to repost your question with the same info in your first post but put the two codes in the title. Might get a better response. Remember to add that you've already tried a new MAF.

Not to sound crazy or beat you up but why not buy an O2 sensor ?? What led you to buying a new MAF ??

I bought the new MAF because I cleaned the old MAF with the cleaner one day it was acting up and it was fine immediately after reinstalling it so I figured it was bad. I also was reading other members problems similar to mine and everyone seemed to point to the MAF being bad.
