Default Major Vibration at 65+ mph

The white car has been vibrating pretty bad at 65+ mph. I took it in for a tire rotation and balance today and found the lower ball joints are bad on both sides. I just ordered control arms from Waltrip Volvo for $100 each plus total of $10 shipping. Quite a bit cheaper than fcpgroton for OEM. It was $242 total at fcp with the 10% discount and free shipping.

How much work is it to instal the control arms? Does not look too bad. Hope I can do it myself and not have to get one of the boys up here to do it for me.

Jim they are pretty easy. 3 screws and they should fall out or need a little tapping to get them out.

Sometimes they stick on the hub.

I just got done doing the Control Arms. Hardest parts were getting the ball joint loose on the one side for some reason and next hardest was lining up the holes to put the control arms back up on the frame. Not really that tough of a job though I have to admit.

I can NOT believe how bad the ball joint was on the passenger side. Like it wasn't even there. You could just move the shaft around freely with no resistance whatosever. I tried to take it for a test drive to see if the vibration was gone, but it was raining to hard to get going 65-70 mph. Tried once, but the car hydroplaned into the left lane. My wife is out with it right now. She'll let me know if it's ok. Really needs alignment I know that much. Pulling hard to the right.
