Manual swap question

Manual swap question
I recently aquired a manual trans, flywheel, pedal assembly w/ switches and vacuum lines, shifter cables, release bearing and I currently have a few questions about the swap. I have been looking at tons of manual swap write ups and posts but here are my questions.
1) I dont have any housing bolts from the manual trans, are the automatic bolts the same?
2) I have the flywheel with circular holes and with the wedges, any advantages to either?
3) The trans has the rear engine mount with a cast date of 93 so would that be an m56h or m56l? It doesn't have any serial number on the case or any stickers like many others do.
I also noticed it has an electrical plug in the back of the trans case, is that for the speed sensor?
THanks!!

1) I dont have any housing bolts from the manual trans, are the automatic bolts the same? (Boxpin: Yes)
2) I have the flywheel with circular holes and with the wedges, any advantages to either? (Boxpin: None, they serve the same purpose. I used circular. I have heard that you need to swap pin positions on the pickup if you use the wedge)
3) The trans has the rear engine mount with a cast date of 93 so would that be an m56h or m56l? It doesn't have any serial number on the case or any stickers like many others do. (Boxpin: There is a white sticker near the throwout bearing fork on the lower side front of the trans. If the sticker is there it will tell you if you have an L or and H. Other then that you have to open the case and count gears. L and H models were both available)
I also noticed it has an electrical plug in the back of the trans case, is that for the speed sensor? (Boxpin: yes)
THanks!!

Boxpin thank you so much for all of the insight.
Well the trans has no sticker on it but I found a 96 m56h w/o speed sensor in the jy with a sticker on it. Thinking about grabing it for backup gears and sychros. I would buy it and install it instead of the one I have now (without the label) but it doesn't have a speed sensor plug. And I'm not too familiar on how to make that work.

You can use either trans. When you dont have the speed sensor you tap into the front ABS pickup on the drivers side wheel.
One thing you may want to do it actually open up these two transmissions. In 1996 Volvo changed the shift forks from a cast steel with plastic tips to brass. The brass shift forks are the coveted ones. Most likely the trans without the speed sensor is a later model and should have the brass forks. Regardless of what transmission you select, use the forks in it.
Brass:
Cast:
I dont know what your finances are but if you can spare another $1000 you can add a Quaife LSD. The splined ring in the upper right corner is the speed sensor.
You should also assess the condition of the syncros and use the best ones. Nothing worse than grinding gears after you install a transmission.
Also, replace the seals, especially the one on the input shaft. It would be a good idea to replace your rear main seal while your at it too.
