Found a wrecked 850 Turbo in Dallas with 192,000 miles on it. The car seems to have been taken care of a little so I did a manual compression test on it and came up with 90 - 95 across the board (hand cranking) so I pulled and purchased it, then dragged it home, and delivered it to the guy that will install it. I don't have a lift nor the time to deal with it myself.

Started the car to try to drive it to the installer, 35 miles away and the car made it about a block to the gas station and the motor locked up. So we had it towed to the mechanic to have it installed. I ordered several parts from iPd to help with the motor swap. Throttle body intake, turbo coolant tube, PCV system, etc., dropped those parts off while I was on my way moving west.

Checked on the car a couple of days ago and the mechanic said it was ready to go and running very strong.

The new owner picked it up yesterday and could not stop telling me how fast his new car is. Couldn't get him off the phone and he was in it less than 20 minutes. I spoke to him again today and he actually said that he's a little afraid of the car because it's so fast and doesn't seem to have a limit. I just laughed and told him to take it easy.

Hurrah!!! A R saved. It cost the new owner about $2,500.
