I was wondering about the ignition coil set ups everyone uses. I saw on everyones 850's they use the MSD SS blaster coil with a special mount they either made or got from IPD (which is stupid expensive) but has anyone ever used the MSD Blaster 2 coil? ( MSD Ignition 8202K Red MSD Blaster 2 Coil & Bracket Kit | eBay ) This coil has a bracket that i think would work well and save some money.

But will it work or have a different performance to it? if so what will happen? just wondering on the differences if anyone knows, but thanks guys!

The coil I'm using is a MSD P/N 8207 like in the IPD kit. I bought one new for $37 and put together my own mount. The nice thing about the 8207 is space. It mounts nicely to the original aluminum mount once you remove the stock coil and connects without lengthening the leads from the ignition module. The one you posted the link to will put out a few more more volts (7K) but not sure they're worth the added difficulty in finding a location to mount.
