While attempting to install the upper engine torque motor mount I had to remove the bracket in order to press in the bushing. In order to get to the bracket bolts I had to remove the air intake hose that connects the air mass meter to the intake manifold. After removal I noticed a vacuum line, (that I taped white for viewing purposes). I can't seem to find out where the vacuum line connects. I could really use some help locating the placement of the vacuum line. Thanks in advance.
is your car a turbo or NA? Do you still have the vacuum diagram sticker under the hood? Try popping off the cover to the throttle cable spooler and look to see if your vacuum tree has all the hoses or caps in place. You can google for a vacuum line diagram to see where they are supposed to run to.
850 N/A---I have traced the vacuum line to the passenger side manifold. If you look at the picture, is it supposed to connect to the flame shield housing that's just to the right the vacuum line? If so do I need a rubber connector to join them because the line does not fit on the nipple. Again if you look at the picture you'll see a 1 inch long tube that's connected to the housing. It's much larger diameter so I removed it to attach the line and expose the nipple and it doesn't fit. Maybe it was just a heat shield. I have read several posts and they all talk about the manifold connection but not where the other end goes.
I've never actually had one with that flame trap, or at least i don't think I did. Here's a thread asking the same question from the other direction, with a diagram https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/fo...ic.php?t=74561
Does the vacuum line in the picture with white tape that runs from the passenger side manifold connect into the part just to the right it? Not sure the name of the part but it came off the air intake hose that connects to the mass air flow sensor? Maybe an oil trap.
