Default name that part

found it under the "carbon" cylinder(forgot offical name). drivers side, near corner of bumper. This piece wasn't hooked up to anything, an airline might hook into where my finger is pointing. its airtight, like some type of air pressure holding tank.

seems to be mounted pretty low. Lower then anything else in the whole car. Its a long way from the engine so I would assume its put down there to be seperated from engine heat. To maintain consistant temperature/pressure with ambient air perhaps?

Vacuum res. for carbon canister. Something to do with fumes not recycled in the EVAP system is my understanding. Seen quite a few blocked off.
