Default Need help!

Okay, putting the intercooler hoses back on the car (94 turbo wagon) and noticed a rip about 1 1/2 inches long in one of the flexible hoses.

is there ANY place I can find one of these? It's the one that attaches to the curved pipe that goes over the top of the motor and attaches to the hard piece that goes down to the bottom of the intercooler.

I can't buy the samco hoses right now, but i plan to down the road. I need a quick fix until I can do that....any ideas?

You can try some duct tape I guess if you want. I personally wouldn't even think about driving it until there's a new hose on there, that's a huge rip.

Normally I wouldnt either, but its my daily driver.

The idea that I have that I may use as a band aid, if you will, is to use a hose that I have thats slightly larger, cut a piece of it about 4" long, and put it over the existing hose where the rip is. It's about an inch from the end of the hose, so i may put the larer hose all the way up to the end and clamp it on at that end, then use another hose clamp to hold it tight on the other end.

Not an ideal repair, but it might get me by until I can fix it right. It should at least seal it up somewhat.

Why dont you take the hose down to an autoparts store and see if they can match it up to something in stock.

Silk: The patch i did on the stock hose is holding, but if you can send me that one hose, I'd sure appreciate it! I don't trust that patch to last long.

I just received these:
http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exe...ategory_id/215

and they're about half the price of the Samco - only 115 bucks for the set.
