Hi guys. First post and question.

My mom's '97 850, 20 valve 5 cyl., is running a little rough especially at idle and take off. It threw me a code, p0172. From searching it seems to be running too rich. I've read that this could possible be the mass air flow or oxygen sensor, but which oxygen sensor, there are two from what I can tell?

I went to autozone to check some prices and stuff. I tell you what Volvo parts are $$$!! But I got some cleaner for the mass air flow and I'm gonna try that out.

Any other suggestions on what I can do or what else to check??

Along with cleaning the MAF, check for vacuum leaks on the vacuum lines and the intake manifold.
