you probably overtightened it. Copper is a soft metal and is meant to compress with slight pressure. if you tighten them too much they warp and stop sealing.

Well it went from a alight leak, to a heavy leak, to pouring out when I started the car. Now the car is not drivable. I have owned this car for a few weeks and it has been nothing but trouble. I am not sure how to solve this leak. It's pretty bad and now I backed the car out enough to see that it was leaving a solid line of oil where ever it went. I didn't do much but back it out and put it back in the driveway. When I replaced the gaskets it didn't apear to be leaking anymore, when I parked it it was another story completely.

again....you overtightened the bolts and warped the crush washers. It's not the car that's causing your problems, its not following torque specs that is causing your problems. They specify torque specs in the service manuals for a reason.

I'm not saying this to slam you or anything, but you have to repair things correctly when you fix them. if you don't, dont blame the car.

I was at a Volvo shop when I did the repair, so you happen to know what the specs are?

Turns it that the block is stripped, the crush washers that were on there wernt even crushed a tiny bit so I didn't over tighten, the lower bolt is where it's leaking and t compared to the upper bolt the lower one looks new, which makes me think this was a prior issue and they did a quick fix and sold it. What are my options as far as re threading it? Can I use a longer bolt? I now know the issue, I just can't do anything about it.

You can helicoil it, ot you can retap the hole to accept a larger threaded bolt. Thats pretty much it.

Sorry about your luck on this one. Someone prior to you probably overtorqued the bejeezus out of it.
