I have a 850 that I drive only in winter. It has sat for 3 months. It has a new battery fully charged. When the key is turned the day light running lights come on but when it is turned all the way the lights go off there isn't even the click of a relay and the starter doesn't even attempt to turn. Its like there is some sort of inhibit/alarm disable on. Anyone suggest where I should start (no pun intended)

 

The first thing I would check is to check the small wire that goes to the starter.You will need someone to help you.Put a test light on that wire and have someone try to start it.If the light lights and nothing else happens then the starter is bad.
