Noise in Rear brakes
Hi All,
When the car is cold it is normal. When I drive for a while(about 20 min) when I stop you get a vibrating sound that is VERY loud. It sounds like i'm draging something. I took the wheels off and check to see if something was stuck in the wheel but there was nothing. It is in both rear wheels but louder on the right side. I would like to know if anyone ever had a problem like this before. Thanks for the feedback.

p.s. I changed the rotor and the brakes last year.

Could be the parking brake shoes?
Did you replace the rotors & pads with OEM? What about the spring kits, did you replace them as well? Did you replace the pad shims with half-size version?

Yes, the rotor and brakes came from the dealer. Not shore if they havethe shimes.
When I brake normally it is fine, its only when the car is coming to a stop thats when you get that dragging sound.

The shims come with directional arrow, though as RedTurbo says, it is not clear which way the shims should face. I installed mine with the arrow pointing UP, and with the help of CV-joint grease (moly-based), no noise problem occurred ever since. Silicone-based grease seems to work just as well.
I would also replace the pad retaining spring tensioner kits, which is only about $6 a package.

I wish you luck,
