Default Noobie turbo gauge question

Since riding around in my turbo wagon for about a month now, I notice it has the get up and go I would expect with it, but wondering if I am boosting the normal amount? Many videos of stock or close to stock 850's are using the full stock gauge for boost. under Full throttle I am just above the bottom of the semi circle. Is this normal? Car feels like it has power, just not sure if im boosting the correct amount.

it could be that the vacuum line that runs to your gauge may be leaking or not tight on the back of the gauge cluster as well.

Not really sure: any chance you can post a picture of where, exactly, it's showing on the gauge? "just above the bottom of the semicircle" isn't a super exact placement of the needle...

Maybe this will help. Here is the needle in all three positions against a gauge.

Off, Idle and 9.6psi (which is stock on a Non R)

You likely have a gauge vacuum line leak. Check the sticky for solutions.

Ok, that looks just like mine when I bought it. The needle is pressed onto the mechanism and it has come loose. To fix it I had to lift my dash pad to get to my cluster. Removed the cluster, removed the lense cover. Pulled the needle off, yep it just pulls off. Put some loctite on it and pressed it back on in the center and you see what it looks like now. Yours is moving so I would assume this would definately be a good start.

Sounds like you are saying that the needle can come loose from it's post like an arm on a watch??? That's nuts.
