Default ODB port location on a STANDARD?

Ive read on here that there are odb 2 ports in front of the shifter/under the coin holder but im assuming this is on automatics? i have a 95 manual transmission and a few things ive read say that my volvo should have a port, where is it?

I have a 95 5-speed and it has NO OBDII port. I had a 94 with. They had two different styles of ECU. The 95 was the earlier style of the two.

I only know of two locations. Next to the cig lighter in the older cars, under the arm rest on the later cars.

If the car is turbo, it likely has the OBD2 from '94. If the car is NA, most didn't have it till '96.

Can you take a picture of under your coin tray so we can see if the provision is there but the port is not?

I don't know about the USA but here in Australia, if the 850 has OBD I then there is no coin tray, just a shallow plain tray.

If it had OBD II then it had a slotted tray that meant the coins stand upright.

If you have a 95 then it would need to be in the console.

I was under the impression if it was OBD II 850 then that is where it is located on all of them?

OBD2 was madatory for 1996 model year vehicles, but there was nothing that said the manufacturers couldn't do it sooner, which is what Volvo did. I've had maybe half a dozen '95's and they all had the port, as they were all OBD2

I have three 95 850's with the port. Volvo was way ahead of the game on the OBDII ports and most if not all 95's have them.
