Odometer Not working???
I doubt if you can get them at NAPA or any regular auto parts store. Don't go Volvo dealer either. Stick with IPD or fcpgroton from what I understand. I've never had to do one, so I'm not sure how tough a job it is. I don't think it's too bad though based on what I read.
Yep, the gears are gone. I had to fix mine last year using a procedure gfound on this forum. Just do a search and you shouold find it. It cost me about $25 for the gears, and about 2-3 hours of time. While you are in there you might want to replace all the instrument light bulbs and warning light bulbs as well

I would like to fix my odometer and my instrument light bulbs. Do you know where I can get the bulbs in a kit? Does anyone know the specs on the bulbs? Maybe I can change them for LEDs and forget about every changing them again.
I got my gears from a place called Odometers Unlimited, and I got the bulbs from my local auto parts store. I'm sure that FCP Groton would stock both the gear and the bulbs. LED's sound cool, but I didn't go that route
Hi Axel,

I usually undo all Torx screws and remove the entire dash top and clean the A/C vents & ducts. Gotta be careful with the SRS, which requires the negative battery cable to be disconnected, which requires idle speed to be re-learned, which requires the car to be driven for a certain distance, which requires zzzzz....
The light bulbs are generic bulbs you can buy at an auto parts shop, but note that the bulb has to be nested cozily in their plastic sockets (kind of FORDish; it's probably the same supplier). If you want to LED them, you may have to do some modification onto the socket (shove metallic debris, etc...[8D]) or directly solder them onto the back of the cluster. Be sure to watch the polarity, but since you're my electronic mentour, what do I know
. I recommend either Nichia Chemical, Toyota Synthetic, or, of course, Silicone Valley Lumiled Luxeon 3W-5W. Note, that if you set the dimmer to the brightest setting, the cluster may blinds you worse than HIDson high-beam[8D].
