Default Oil cooler hoses

Hi,

Does anyone know a good source for the upper and lower oil cooler hose for a 95 850 turbo? Mine have slow leaks where the metal crimps onto the hose. I called the dealer and they want $93 Each, plus tax and the 60 mile round trip to pick them up.

I've looked on-line at a couple of suggested sources but no luck.

I'm just looking to source these hoses for a bit cheaper than the dealer and get them delivered to the house.

Many thanks,

Glenn

you might be able to replace just the seals... You may want to try that option first as those are much cheaper. There are 2 different seals on each connection so 4 total.

Or look locally around where you live for someone That makes Hydrolic hoses. It might be cheaper to have them made. They should be able to just install new Crimps.

Ok folks,

I've sourced the new oil cooler hoses and am working on getting the old ones off. I've gotten the connectors for the lines out of the radiator (boy those clips were interesting) Now comes the question.. How do you get the ends of the hoses out of the silver cylinder by the oil filter?

It looks like the hose ends are held in place in the cylinder by a faceplate and a 30MM Torx screw. The trouble is I cannot get a tool to it to get it out. Does the cylinder first have to be removed from where it connects to to oil pan? I looked at the cylinder up close and it appears there are two screws that hold it to the pan? I'm also assuming there is a gasket as well

Anyone who has changed the oil cooler hoses and has some tips, please let me know. I would hate to take something off that doesn't need to be.

Thanks,

Glenn

I have a Long t-30 bit that I use. But you can remove it from the oil pan if you want. There is a square o-ring under the cover. They are somewhat known to leak so you might want to remove it and replace the o-ring while you are at it.
