So I have to replace the dip stick on a 99 v70 glt and I have a spare 850 dip stick laying around in the house I dont have the v70 dip stick to match them so im wondering if the 850 dip stick would work

 

Hello fellow Sacramento'en. The later model dip stick had two o-rings and was flared near the end. The older dip stick in the newer tube will be loose.

well i called the dealer ship and they said i would have to buy a dip stick and tube because they dont make the old dip sticks any more so i figured that the old one is the kind that the 850 has is that nor correct could i just buy the dip stick with 2 oil rings and it would fit?

 

Its a package deal. You need both of one kind or the other, they are not interchangeable.

Why dont you just go down to Pick N Pull in Rancho and get another one...there are tons of them out there.

 

Its for a shop so i would have to call my customer to see if he doesnt mind a used one
