Default Oil Leaking from Oil Filler Cap

Is an oil separator the same thing as a pcv valve flame trap? I'm told I have oil separator issues but cannot find a part by that name.

Yeah the pcv box is an oil separator. I recommend replacing that alone with clean I the engine ports really well

When was the last time the oil cap seal was replaced?

The problem lies with the pcv system which causes the oil cap seal fail.

Replaced it twice as I thought the first one might have been a cheap China replacement. It's definitely excess oil pressure causing the leak.

The seal on the cap is a separate rubber piece. No need to replace the whole cap.

The oil separator and associated lines all need changing too.
