pic of 95 850 catalytic...anyone???
Hi guys, fabs here. Just wondering if anyone out there might have an actual pic of a 95 850???? i came across this thread:http://www.VolvoForums.com/m_16676/tm.htm
hope the link worked..of this person's 93 glt cat....mine looks identical to it (muffler too)...does the cat of a 95 look the same? if it is a 93 model that is on my car, does it really make a difference??? the reason i ask is that i've looked around (even on fcp) at new cat. assembly for my car and the cat looks smaller then the one i have on my car.
thanks

Hi fabs,
I do not have a pic but there seem to be 2 or 3 cats; turbo, NA and California ver. See what Tech says.

I don't have any pics either but also remember you had a lot of trouble finding the manifold a while back.
You would have to match yours up and see if they were the same. And also remember yours is a 10V not a 20V so im not sure which will cross over.

Hey, ya i know i had trouble with it.. but the thing is that i kinda have an idea now of what happened. REmember that the manifold was bastardized...The car had been rear-ended...si i think that with the impact, it cracked where the manifold and cat meet, so they took off the origional exhaust system and put in another one( maybe not from an 850) and just welded on the new hookup (2 bolt instead of the 4 bolt). But looking at it, my car only has 190k km on the clock and the whole exhaust (cat and muffler) look older than they are supposed to be (quite rusted). I will get a quote for a new exhaust system(cat and muffler) and see what the comes too..if too expensive i may order the parts myself and do the work or like you mentioned just get the cat welded again, or maybe just cut out the cat and put in an aftermarket one???
thanks
