I am looking at this as a possible purchase. The seller said it has started overheating. They said the timing belt and water pump was replaced last year. They tried replacing the thermostat for the overheating problem but that didn't help.


I have a little to put into repairs if it's a good deal. My biggest concern is the head gasket. They have owned the car for a few years and have some of the service records. Anything Else I should ask?


They didn't have pictures up yet. Hopefully I'll see it tomorrow. It's about an hour away.


I do want something that I can make reliable. I've seen Volvos go into the 200,000 mile range.

 

I think after reading several posts... I'll have a compression test done. I'm not sure how many times it overheated or how long it was hot.
