in a 94 850 when looking into the fluid reservoir should it be swirling around inside ?

I believe if the car is running and you look inside there should be some movement.

 

Yes, there should be some movement as the fluid is pumped around.

 

i cant figure it out, the fish died. i thought they would help. seriously though im trying to find the cause of a sound like a loose belt coming from the steering pump and its not loose and there is no problem with the steering

 

Back to the good old rule, don't fix what aint broke.

I think I can remember someone saying that they put bar soap on the belt to stop it from squeeling.

The pump may be going bad, the fluid maybe can use replacement, not sure. If you figure it out, please post back as to what you did to solve it.
