Default Questions about alarm and timing

i actually have two questions for this topic:
1: what would cause the alarm system to no longer work? my power locks all work still, and they all lock when i use the key in the door, but the alarm does not activate, and if i reach in and pull the door handle from the inside, it just unlocks and the alarm does not go off. it worked fine until i recently noticed this, not even my dash light is coming on.

2: does anyone have a walkthrough or anything of how to do a timing belt change for a 93 GLT? or know how i can find out how many teeth my belt has?

Check the fuses for the alarm system - Its more then one but I dont remember the numbers for now but my guess would be - #6 ,15 and 32. They are all in the fuse box uder the hood at the far back and close to the driver side of the windshield.

The type of timing belt on your car depends on your engine type. There should be a sticker on your tiing belt cover with the engine type and serial number on it. You can use that info while orderig the new timing belt. The following link will take you to a nicely explained procedure for doing the timng belt.

The alarm won't arm unless it detects that all doors, the trunk, and the hood are all closed. I had a bad trunk lock and the alarm wouldn't arm until I replaced it.
