I have just bought a 1993 850 glt and I am having some problems.I was told the car just needed a new maf but I am begining to wonder.

It idles pretty bad but is drivable.

I have just noticed some green fluid leaking from underneath Radiator I think so I'm guessing it is coolant.I have also just noticed that neither hot or cold air will blow.

Are these 3 problems connected or do I have 3 seperate issues ?
any idea what the worst case senario is ?

hot air and cold air are different sources.

a coolant issue usually wont have anything to do with an idle issue unless you have a bad coolant temp sensor or something, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

what side of the car is the coolant dripping from?

 

It is hard to tell as it is soaking into the undercarrage guard.If I was to hazard a guess I would say drivers side(left).I had another look and the fan is working as the temp guage goes up slightly.But no hot or cold air and poor idle still there.

 

I am pretty sure I have 3 different issues.

1.The coolant is leaking from left side but it does not always leak and sometimes the amount leaking varies from 1 inch spot, to 1 foot spot.I have noted my coolant level so I can see how much I lose over the next couple of days.

2.I am pretty sure the idle issue is from the maf so I have cleaned using contact cleaner and I am waiting for it to dry before I replace it.So fingers crossed.

3.My ecc unit is blinking orange lights and no air is coming on any setting.Could this be the blower motor or relay ? Is there any way to tell if it is the unit, motor or relay ?
