97 850 t5 wagon after further investigation.. the idiot lights dont light up on dash, checked all fuses with test light and found there was no power to the 3rd or the fourth fuse with key on. dont have car in front of me i think fuse index said overide or malfuntion shut down cant remember so we jumped power from the battery to said fuse and walla lights on to the dash(idiot lights if you will, bat,cool,check engine) hit key and started... right up i even drove around parking lot shut off started right up..........disconnect jumper wire from bat. no start also after messing with fuses and releys the windows dont work no more.... any and all advice welcome.... thanks pete

 

Check the battery lead where it goes into the fuse box.
