Anyone have experience in doing this repair? I'm think this is what the noise is under my dash, just left of my Blower Motor (behind the glove box). Not sure how to get to the unit to repair. The Blower Motor itself works fine. I cannot find this repair anywhere on the net! Thanks!

 

The gears inside strip. I attempted a repair on one of mine but it did not last so I bungee'ed it in the closed position.
If you decide to replace it be aware that there are different versions.
