This is probably covered in the archives but I'm new here and thought I would throw this one out there for help. In removing some of the speakers that no longer worked my question is this.. on the premium head unit description it says 4x20w at 4 Ohms. so the ones that came out are 8 Ohm in the rear, 4 Ohms in the front doors and 8 Ohms for the little fronts. I taked to Crutchfield and onlinecarstereo and get different answers. Should all the replacements be 4 Ohms or mixed like they came out? I've ordered 5x7 for the rear 5.25 for the doors and 3.5's for the front. They haven't shipped yet so there may still be time... please email me at ld614@sbcglobal.net with any thoughts or suggestions !!!!!

 

If you all will permit me too, I was told that the rear and door speaker wires are always white for the positive terminal and something else for the fronts??? I know the pop out test for the speaker but since the wire harnesses are not there nor would they connect to aftermarket speakers I don't know how to check which wire goes where (without pulling out the head unit adn trying to trace it through the car yikes!
