Hi everyone just purchased a 1994 Volvo 850 manual , car runs great however when in reverse the light doesn't light up, could it be the PNP switch, does a manual trans have PNP switch. Can any one help me new to volvos. If it is the PNP switch can anyone tell me where it is located and instructions how to get to it, one more thing does anyone know how i can get a owners manual for this car.

As to the PNP issue, please wait until other members come in, as I am not privy to manual gearbox.

I got my owner's manual at the following shop (US$28), but I believe you may be able to find one at less price at places such as eBay (I myself never use eBay, though):

Check the bulbs and the fuse first before worrying about the PNP switch. Eliminate the easy things first......

 

I did check the fuse and bulbs thats not the problem
