I replaced both tie rod ends today and now the rims scrape on them in a hard turn. Is there a stop adjustment? I ran out of time today but will work on it tomorrow.

 

The tie rod ends have an arc in them to help them clear the wheel. Just asking here but could you have installed them incorrectly?

 

I thought I put them in the way they came out but now that you bring that up I will check that first thing.

 

Well that was my dumb moment for yesterday. When I had the first wheel off I took one tie rod end out and laid it on the old one on the car, mirror image, to make sure the curve matched and then installed it. At least switching them to the opposite sides only took about 30 to 45 minutes.

 

Been there, done that, hope not to do it again ...
