is there any specific mileage before replacing shock absorber on volvo 850 1996 sedan? thanks for any info.

Been having a bumpy ride this past few weeks..I think my brother's shock absorbers are weak we bought it a year ago. Do we have to replaced it? or there could just be a loose connection or something on that part? thanks...

Just out of curiosity, which brand's dampers have you installed? Also, check to see if any of the upper mounts is loose.

Thanks a bunch guys for the input. Turned out a loose mount was indeed the culprit. As for the dampers, bro is considering the Fluidampr- not quite confident about that though.

Hi Sandders,

Glad you found the culprit for bouncing problem.

I would go with either Bilstein Touring or OEM Sachs. Bilstein Heavy Duty seems to be too firm.
