Smog test today
Got the car inspected today and fortunately it passed no problem. I did notice on the 'hi-speed' idle test (2600RPM) that there was some faint white smoke puffing continually from the exhaust. Other than that, I've never noticed it before. Any guess as to what that might be?
I know white is supposed to be water vapor but that doesn't seem to make sense in this case.

I was thinking that too but my last oil analysis done about 1,000 miles ago showed no traces of antifreeze in the oil. Also, I have not had to replace any coolant over the last 15 months.
So do you think it is coolant? Why would the car emit white smoke at 2600 rpm?

Thats what it sounds like.
Here in Fla. when they had the testing it was so touchy if you sat idleing for 15 minutes it would fail the test.
