RE: Still no luck
You have to quit asking us how much cars are worth and then telling us that it's different where you live. Why do you keep asking, then we give you an answer then you say well it's not like that here? I think you should be bugging the crap out of the lady with the yellow T5R. How much would it cost you to get one in the USA and then take it home?

RE: Still no luck
well, since i dont know how are things with cars in the US, thats why i ask, if i bothers you then there's absolutely nothing i can do to make you feel better. It will cost more than 3k just to bring it here since we use the same currency, thats why. And i already called the lady and she said no, i will not call her again until she calls me back to tell me that she wants to sell it. The prices are very alike so thats why i asked that, i only said that people here dont look at the miles in old cars

RE: Still no luck
Sorry for the previous post. All I really meant is that I think the market is really different where you live and what it sells for or is worth in the USA is not the same as where you live.
I'm pulling for you to find at least a low pressure turbo. Keep hunting cause it sounds like there are some where you live. My advise it to not buy anything less than a low pressure turbo. I raced a pretty hot Integra or some smaller Acura with my wagon this weekend. Kept up with him pretty good, but he did beat me. I think he was surprised to see a Volvo station wagon hanging with him. The R would have killed him.

I live in Argentina and I have a 96 T5 Sedan. Yesterday on my way to the office I passed a red 97 850R. Wow! What a beautiful car. That´s going to be my next car. Guess how much that costs here? Around 13K. If it´s in mint condition it will cost 16K. I paid 8.5K for my car, with 137000 kms, and I' ve already spent around 1.5K on repairs, mainly suspension, tbelt.
In the Mercosur countries (Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay) imported spare parts have huge taxes, so I buy them directly in the US and import them myself. Spare part dealers and stealerships are adding 60-100% on top and since they are the only sources then they can charge basically whatever they want. They also spread out FUD "fear, uncertainty and doubt" regarding non-OE parts, like if you were buying pirate CDs or something. Really pisses me off because most people believe that crap.
