Hey guys, my younger brother just bought a '97 850 GLT. It has the stock premium head unit, but you can't hear anything out of both the front and back passenger side speakers. It doesn't make any static when you turn the volume ****. We also tried messing with the wiring harness to see if it was a loose wire and everything seems tight.

Did a little searching and found some fixes to older radio styles, but nothing in regards to the stock radios with the CD player built-in. I've taken the whole radio apart and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. Has someone else had this problem? Thanks

 

I had this same issue with the head unit in my 850. The balance **** is more then likely bad. No matter what I did, I could not get it to balance out the speakers. In the end, I just replaced the radio and called it a day.
