Default Strange OBDC behavior on my '93 850

First, this 850 is running beautifully. Just replaced most seals and no more pavement stains showing up. Starts and idles like it should, cylinders clicking off in order, no misses. On hard acceleration (well, we need to play a little), smooth and strong.

I do have an electrical glitch. Just put in a Sony radio today; hooked it up, worked fine—for about 5 minutes, then went dark. It's dark and chilly out, tomorrow I'll check fuse 7, which is needed for "always on"; it was blown when I first plugged in the new radio, replaced it and the radio worked for 5 minutes. That's one issue, but I doubt related to the main one.

MY A-3 OBDC socket stays lit bright red when I insert the fly lead and doesn't respond to anything. The A-6 is similar, but weak red. The B-2 also stays weak red with the fly in. I have a couple of codes on sockets B-1 and B-5; they might have been remedied, but the system won't clear with 6 presses, wait for light, then 6 more—it just doesn't do anything.

When I put the fly lead in sockets A 1, 2 and 5, there's no LED lights, nothing.

I'm stuck. What am I missing here?

Thanks for any help.
