Default strange behavior

This morning my wife said the car wouldnt go and the check engine light came on and the up arrow was blinking. I drove it and it was in winter mode, hence why it would seem sluggish, but it drove fine for me. Scaned the codes and I got:

P1113 (history/current/and pending) from what I understand its for the IAT, but I cant seem to locate it, unless its the sensor with the hose that runs from the intake tube to the fuel injectors.

and then a couple transmission codes that were current but not pending or anything.

P0785 Shift solenoid timing/performance out of range

P1618 error in communication between ECM and TCM.

To me it seems whatever sets the 1113 code cause a hiccup in the trans that wont return cause its running in open loop now.

Anybody know if 1113 is for the IAT abd is so, where is it? Im usually pretty good, but I can't seem to figure this one out. Oh yeah, I have 93k miles and the car has never had the ETM recall done, but then again its not giving me any trouble, although it idle @ 900 in gear which seems a bit high but what do I know. Any info or advise is muchly appreciated!

I got my good scantool to sync up with it and indeed my IAT shows a fixed value of 111 degrees farenheit, I let it run for 20 minutes and it stayed fixed @ 111.

Sorry, 2000 S70 non turbo, lousy AW5speed auto..... I mean lousily managed auto. Just an update, I ordered a reman MAF from Napa but I wont see it till sometime between now and when I would expect a cable guy, so I celaned mine up with electrical cleaner like I have on a lot of other cars, to hold them over, cleared my codes and it drives well now, no MIL. But so soon as the new one gets here, I'll put it in.

There might also be another IAT sensor mounted by the passenger side hood latch.

Is that an IAT too? from what I understood that was the ambient temp sensor for the gauge in the cluster, but I could be wrong. ANy test proceedure for this or is the bet way just to unplug it and see if my gauge goes dead.

The one for the gauge should be under the front bumper.
Volvo calls it about 3 different things. Map,Iat,Boost pressure sensor(Turbo cars)

I have seen were what I presume to be the MAP is, atop the fan shroud, with a vacuum hose to the intake, but he MAP is also the IAT? I thought it was integrated in to the maf... grrr is there any way to test for these, ie like a multi meter, and hear source and a thermometer? mine is a non-turbo BTW

Volvo calls many things many different things.
In the codes they might list it as an IAT. easiest way to tell is if the codes are cleared pull the plug to the valve and start the car and see what codes come back.
