Default Strong gas fumes?

Just started driving my 96 850 GLT N/A after being in the garage for a couple months waiting for new tires. I did drive it occasionally but up until the last couple of days the smell of gas was so strong I had to pull it outside. I cannot find any leaks from underneath or on the floor. Anyone have any experience with a problem like this? I hope its' something common I just don't' know where to start other than the fuel filter. Thanks.

Vent hose on top of the tank. Common problem. You have to drop the tank to replace it. Really not that bad of a job.

You might also want to check the area of the fuel pressure regulator in case a line loosened up. The heater can pull those fumes from the raw gas right into the car.

Hi boxpin, Can I order a new hose or did the old one just come loose? And while I'm there what do you think about fuel pump and sensor ? The tank is full of gas.

Hi kiss4afrog, I haven't noticed any smell from the inside of cabin but have not driven the car except from tire shop to the garage.

Cracked. No need to do anything with the pump or sender, they both have access panels anyway.
