Sun roof troubles
OK. My sunroof has been giving me trouble for a while. It opens just fiine, but when you close it, it goes part way, seems to get stuck, then reverses, and re-opens. I removed the glass, checked the track (clear) , noticed that a bar along the back side running between the two sides was broken (fixed it). I did notice however, that when it is opening, one side lifts part way, as though it was at the roof opening, and that that is when it reverses. Only one side lifts part way like that, and when it reverses, it drops down again. Are both sides supposed to lift early, or do they lift only when they are fully closed? When it does close fully (with manual help from me to prevent reversing) it goes into place, and seals nicely on its own. What can I do to fix this?

RE: Sun roof troubles
Mine does the same thing, but mine leaks as well.... I replaced the black trim piece and it closes better, but still leaks. The drains are open, but water colects in it enough to leak through a small pin that runs through the housing.
There was another posting here that delt with the sunroof issue, do a search and you might should find it. Good luck!

RE: Sun roof troubles
Here's how I fixed my leaky roof. Follow the link http://www.volvospeed.com/Repair/sunroof.php. When you loosen the four screws (normally to remove the glass), instead, just loosen them, and voila, you can adjust the height of the four corners of the sunroof! That way, you can make it seal better, and be more, aerodynamic. Good luck.
