Try locking and unlocking the car with the key/remote and then see if it will close.

It is a pain to remove the Headliner.
You will have to remove all handles and Domelight assembly.

The remove the rear clips by the back window.Turn then and pull and they should fall out.

Then you might have to take the entire assembly out of the roof to find out what is wrong with it.

Maybe just play with it.
Do you hear any funny noises when it moves?

Maybe just out of time.
But to check the computer might be able to see but mainly only the dealer can check.

It didn't have this specific issue, but it can behave quite oddly. The software issue I ran into left my blinkers not working and my message reader on the dash not working correctly. This all occured literally overnight, and was remedied after I took it to the dealership and had them load all new software.

I have it were when the driver door was opened, the sunroof and windows did not act right. Make sure the drivers door is closed. Fixed my issue. -R

Look and see if the motor has a slot in it. Like that you could put a screw driver into.
