Default Tail light lens question

As others have said, my tail lights lenses look like they have been sandblasted so I am going to look for some at PnP. My car is a 1995 wagon. What years of lenses will work? I have read that the early V70 lenses fit but the lower section needs some modifications. Can anyone tell me what the modifications are?

V70 lenses will bolt up. No mods needed. This is my 95.

Got some V70 lenses today at pnp. The trim on the donor was already pulled out so that was easy but how do I get the trim out of my car with out damaging anything?

Quick word of advice for anyone changing tail light lenses, make sure you have an 8mm deep socket and a universal joint for your socket. When I went to pnp I only had an 8mm wrench so it took a lot longer.

I concur. Recently pullrd upper ones myself and a u joint would have been excellent to have. And a longer 1/4" drive extension. Not sure about the lower ones, but i suspect from the looks of things its required

There is an access hole for each mounting screw but some are off set a little.

Picture 1 is the old and new tail light lens.
Picture 2 has a red circle around two tabs on the old lens. The newer lens had much larger tabs and if anyone is doing this trim the larger tabs down so the lamp holder will snap in place. If you don't trim those it makes it impossible to get the lamp holder to snap in.
