So, yesterday I lock the car and start to walk away and see that my alarm light on the dash is not flashing. Hmmmmm. So, I have been trying to program the other remote, maybe that has something to do with it.

I walk around the car and lock it with the key, still no alarm. I then walk to the back of the car and the tailgate is not locked. It locks with the key but not with the remote or with the other doors. Darn!!! Fix one thing and something else breaks.

I do remember having to close it hard Friday because something was in the way. Instead of moving the stuff out of the way I was lazy and forced it out of the way with the door by closing it hard.

Besides all that, does anyone know how to fix it?

 

Oh, I forgot to add, when I lock the tailgate with the key, all doors lock and the alarm does come on.

 

Lock actuator may have gone bad. Junk yard time...

 

There is a chance you knocked a connector loose but it's likely the door lock motor or actuator.

 

Is that at the lower lock latch, or up high at the handle?

 

when you push the button stay near the back of the car, you'll be able to hear it if the actuator is working.

If it is, the hook on the inside of the hatch may have come undone.

 

Couldn't hear a thing. Then I cleaned out the car, hit the remote to lock the doors then the rear hatch and the darn thing locked. I can hear it like a bolt action rifle. So, my guess is that I have a broken wire in the hinge.
