You should always have a PCV system in there since there's various hoses from it and a vacuum line that's associated with it. Some people have tried to clean it, but I wouldn't, just buy a new one, it's only like a hundred bucks for a whole kit. You can add a catchcan which is what a lot of people do which basically a simpler PCV system.

Well to gain full potential of your power an exhaust system is needed... And it wont be too loud, check some of them out on YOUTUBE. Type in VOLVO, VOLVO DOWNPIPE, VOLVO CATBACK, whatever it should come up...

Also if you upgrade your turbo it is really needed then. Our exhaust systems are very restrictive.

If you want a cheaper alternative you can get the OBX 3" dp and 2.5" catback. It's a straight pipe and fairly tame, not too obnoxious. I have that on my sedan.

Make no mistake, they sound awesome wacking it wot down the road.

but seriously in an auto going 3 inch for such low boost? (im used to running between 1.8-2.7bar)

Im sure I could do a 3 inch with 2 boxes or something to keep the volume down, but still give it a nice not to over the top roar.

how much power can the auto box handle?

When we are talking bigger mods like rods and pistons and the auto box is a limitation... U need a manual box too.

But I suppose let me get the car first.

Is there anything else i need to look out for on an auto car?

Right now ive got the pcv and turbo in my head.

the auto box can handle around 300-350 after that your risking it. I'd do a manual swap if I were you...

Yes 3" for such low boost. It's been proven time and time again with our Volvo's that a full 3" system even with stock to slightly upped boost levels is beneficial.

Drove the car today for a little while longer.

first thing I did when cold was check the engine.

Oil on top of the tappet cover - I thought ... mmm PCV...

I then started the car ... and no blowby - nothing out the dipstick or the filler cap.

So I took the car for a drive did about 20miles and came back...

Under normal cruising no smoke, but bootit (kick down) and you can see some smoke. It goes away as soon as the rpm's settle.

Parked the car again and pulled the dipstick and guess what I saw...

uh huh... same with the filler cap...

Guess its the PCV then huh...

BTW .Turbo was done a couple of weeks ago.

+1 10psi is not 10psi on all turbos.....

And I have a custom 3" turboback exhaust, and it is really quite. high flow cat, sebring tuning resinator, and fast intention muffler.

pressure is pressure. Its the airflow rate that differs

for instance.

a 15g flows 360cfm .But a 19t will flow 400cfm (example not actual cfm) But the Psi is still the same.

Well, yeah, obviously 10 PSI on any turbo is technically 10 PSI, but it's how you get there that's going to be totally different, hence why 10 PSI on your 15G is not going to be like 10 PSI on a 19T

You can get a timing belt kit from FCP that has the t belt and all the pullies and tensioners for like 200 bucks. cap/rotor is 50, plugs are like 10, IPD performance plug wires are 90. No way in hell would I pay 1k to have someone to that to my car, especially when half of the tune up (plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires) can be done in like 20 minutes. Can you do the work yourself or no?
