Default Throttle body questions

Hello,
I need a part or two for the throttle body on my T-5R.
Are the parts the same as a regular 850? There is a little plastic stanchion thing on the back that keeps popping off. It is adjustable on both ends and the plastic caps on the ends look worn and that could be why they are coming off the posts that they sit on. I tried to make them more secure with tie wraps, but that is a temporary fix. I might need the plastic shroud that goes over the whole thing too. This parts are all the same for any 850? Where s a good place to get them from? thanks I was going to look on eBay.

The parts are the same and a junk yard is your friend here.

yes that is the part. I found one on eBay pretty cheaply, I just hope it is in decent shape. The back ball joint end would jump off the little stud thing.

how important is the plastic shroud thing that covers the whole throttle body? I broke the one on mine.

Thanks for the help by the way.

I have both of those parts here if you need them. Our dealer here is expensive and that linkage is $18. The cover is something like $28. Most people do NOT have the cover.

Thanks, so that means the cover is not necessary?

That is $18 shipped for the linkage?

The cover is not necessary, it is cosmetic but I would not go so far to say that most people dont have theirs. I personally make great efforts to retain it.

I still have the cover on mine, and you should be able to pick up the ball joint for the throttle linkage for next to nothing at a boneyard.

Well it's a little more than cosmetic because it does help keep road debris from getting into the linkage and causing a problem. It also shrouds the end of the throttle cable so water and crud have a harder time getting into the cable sheath and causing corrosion.

I'd run with it if it's not too $$$.
