Unhappy Turbo Wagon doesn't start... help please!

Hi... my mom was driving the car today and it suddenly stopped working. We towed the car home and i started like for 2 second and it died again. The car cranks but doest start and y dont hear the fuel pump working, there is usually a noise coming from the back of the car, like a buzz but there is nothing now. The car used to have troubles starting, cranking for a while before it starts. I am not sure if that could be a sign that my fuel pump was going bad. I chekcked the fuses and replaced the fuel pump relay but it didnt solve anything. Any ideas? I am thinking the fuel pump is bad, but i am not sure...

Thanks!

Could very well be bad. Best thing is to get to the fuel pump plug and test for power when you turn the key on or crank it over.

Hello, I just got it done. I replace the fuel pump with another one and problem solved! But I didnt have the money to buy a new one, so I asked my stepfather if he had one but he only had one out of a 2000 XC, so we made it fit and it works fine. but the car is still cranking when I try to start it.
thanks for the help!

Great, let us know if you need further assistance.

Next time, FYI, you only need the pump insert, not the entire assy which costs over $300 whereas the core insert (electric motor portion) is about $150 or less I believe.
