Default Turn signal lever broken...

Recently the turn signal/cruise control lever broke on the 850 (it literally snapped off, hanging by the wires). I ordered a new, OEM part online and received it today. The repair seemed pretty simple. I removed the old one, and put the new one in. No major issues.

When I went to test it - there was a problem. The left turn signal is always on now. If I switch it to right, it switches to right, but then when you turn the wheel and it clears, it goes back to signaling left.

Is this a defective part, or is there some kind of an adjustment for this that I'm not aware of?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

That's what I'm thinking too. The company that sold it to me has agreed to give me a refund and pay for return shipping.

I'll order another one and try again!

Definitely a bad part. Where did you order it from?

I ordered it from www.autopartswarehouse.com. It was $80.55 for a new OEM part, in the Volvo box.

They have been very good about the returns process, and I've ordered another one from them.

The replacement part arrived today. It was installed and works perfectly, so I guess the original was definitely a bad part!
