Default Unknown Leak endless repairs

Over the past two years, I did the timing belt, pcv, shocks, cruise control, oil thermostat, drive shafts, oil cooler hoses, odometer gear, injectors, brakes and brake hoses, spark plugs, radiator, water pump, fuel pump under the post "another P0172".

New issues keep coming.

I crawled under the car looking for the source of burnt oil smell that came last week and vanished. A hose under the turbo didn't look right (The big swollen hose in the picture). It could be leaking or the engine mount above it could be dripping oil. Any ideas? What is the part number for this hose? Any write-up?

Speaking of engine mounts the upper was gone, I didn't check all mounts yet. Do they get changed all at once like the shocks.

The tire on the front passenger side is wearing and it appears the culprit is the control arm.

Transmission shift a little harder from P to R with a thud when warm.

Vacuum test at idle on the manifold was 22 psi but the needle was shaking. Searching the forum posts they say it could be a vacuum leak.

Any ideas where to start and what else could breakdown: Fix that hose, engine mounts, control arm, vacuum leak, or sell the car and buy a toyota-lol.
For now I will leave the transmission alone.

Well the upper engine mount does not leak any fluid so more than likely the oil is coming from from the hose.

thanks damien360,
Any ideas what the part number is?
The mount I though leaking was the big one with safety cables somewhere above this hose.

Is that a cooling hose ?? Number 9 on the diagram ??

Try to use a fuel injector clamp on the new hose as they don't damage the hose the way the cooling system worm clamps can.

You need to take a couple shots from above the turbo too. It sure looks to be dripping down from above.

Yes the repairs on these 850's are endless. It's usually something different every month. Most people bail after letting things go for a year or two, that will leave a nice list for the next owner. Most cars will need a lot of things at this age but the difference is, the Volvo will let you know while other cars will not.

Here is the thread with the part numbers:

#13 is also a coolant line. Mine started leaking and I caught it before it blew and damaged my motor.

I took a shot from above and below the turbo. Thinking my recent oil change with Mobil Super High Mileage has something to do with the leak, I dumped it after 200 miles and put in Valvoline.
