Can anyone tell me what this is? I have a 2001 S60.

I tried other forums and no one knew.

On the S60 I believe the Hose is the upper Trans. cooler line.
Hook a hose up and run it into a Drain pail or soemthing like that.
Use a clear hose and watch for Bubbles. Then turn it off and Add 2 Quarts then start it again and watch for the same thing. Do that till you run all the fluid you want through or it all comes out red.
