Default Variable Geometry Turbos, anyone use them?

Hey, I'm new to the site and new to Volvos, so far I love my 850R! Im working on stage 0 and not doing any performance modifications to my car till its done. I have been thinking about possible modifications for the future and I heard about Variable Geometry Turbos, I do know they are mostly used in Diesel engines but has anyone, or has anyone heard of using them on gasoline engines or more specifically on our 850's?

The easiest upgrade is to go from your 15G to a 16T and a tune..

But read this thread over... Modifying Fwd Turbo Volvos (Read, Don't Comment) - Volvospeed Forums

I'd recommend going slightly larger with an 18T but otherwise I agree.
Make sure you take the time to read through the thread that MattyXXL posted. There is lots of valuable info in there.

When your ready for the tune, I highly recommend an ARD M4.4 tune.
